.العلاج عبارة عن مضاد حيوي ، يجب تناوله في أسرع وقت ممكن ولفترة طويلة. يُنصح بإخراج القيح من المفصل ، حتى إذا لزم الأمر
.تعتبر حالة طبية طارئة. إذا تم تلقي علاج مبكر وكافٍ ، فمن المحتمل جدًا أن يتعافى بدون عقابيل
