Common cough

Very low urgency
Common-

Coughing is one of the human body’s defence mechanisms for expelling mucus and other foreign elements from the respiratory tract.

There are multiple causes associated to cough, but a banal cough is often associated with drug-induced or psychogenic causes or mild respiratory infections.

It commonly manifests with a cough without any other related symptoms.

It is diagnosed through clinical questioning aimed at discovering the triggering cause.

Generally it does not require treatment because it self-limits in a short amount of time.

You should check with a specialist if it is accompanied by bleeding, shortness of breath, thoracic pain and if it persists for more than three weeks.
