Injury to the nose as a result of the action of an external force or energy.
The causes can be a fall, violence, accident or blow.
The symptoms are pain, swelling, bleeding and difficulty breathing.
To be able to diagnose it, the specialist will perform a physical examination and, if necessary, request an X-ray.
The treatment is based on regular analgesics for pain and local cold to lower the inflammation. If there is bleeding, it is recommended to sit, lean forward, breathe through the mouth and pinch the nostrils with the fingers until the bleeding stops. If the bleeding does not yield, you should see your doctor to pack your nostrils or close your blood vessels. If you are taking anti-coagulants or there is heavy bleeding, go to the A&E immediately.
