Si tratta di un'infiammazione cronica delle articolazioni che colpisce fino al 30% dei pazienti affetti da psoriasi.
Può interessare le articolazioni grandi e piccole, e manifestarsi in maniera asimmetrica. È molto frequente il coinvolgimento delle articolazioni interfalangee distali delle mani e dei piedi.
La diagnosi è clinica e si deve sospettare nei pazienti affetti psoriasi che presentano i sintomi dell'artrite.
Il trattamento è base di farmaci antireumatici e agenti biologici.
