これは、歯茎に膿がたまった状態で、歯の感染症に次いで起こります。最も一般的な原因は、虫歯です。食べ物と飲み物を摂取する際、咀嚼するとき、または温度が変化するときに、口の中の一部で痛みがあらわれます。顔の片側の炎症、リンパ節の炎症、および重症時の発熱を引き起こす可能性があります。歯、歯茎、口、および首などをよく調べて診断します。最初は、痛みを抑えるために鎮痛剤を投与し、感染を制御するために抗生物質による治療を行います。その後の段階で、根管治療、または抜歯が行われます。
