出生時にへその緒を切るときに、残ったほうの臍の緒の部分に起こる感染症。
へその部分の衛生状態が悪いことが関係しています。
徴候や症状は、へその赤み、皮膚の腫れや敏感さ、黄色で臭う分泌物です。
診断は、臨床検査によって行われ、検査は必要ありません。
治療には、へその適切な衛生管理と、局所または経口抗生物質が含まれます。
