外耳道と中耳を隔てている鼓膜という細かい組織が裂けることです。感染症、急激な気圧の変化、過度の騒音、直接の傷害などによって起こります。問診で診断され、耳鏡検査で確認されます。通常は自然に治りますが、時には外科的な手術が必要になることもあります。裂傷がある間は、感染症や難聴になる危険性があります。
