“액상 엑스터시”라고도 하는 감마하이드록시부티르산(GHB)은 암페타민이 아닌 기분전환용 약물로, 주로 젊은 사람과 청소년이 복용하며 알코올, 코카인 및 기타 합성 약과 밀접하게 연관되어 있습니다.
복용 후 약 30분 후에 최대 효과가 나타나며 지속 시간은 복용량에 따라 다릅니다. 복용량에 따라 미치는 영향이 다르므로 용량에 따라 독성이 다르게 나타납니다.
주로 이상행복감, 탈억제, 삶에 대한 만족감 및 성적 자극 효과를 목적으로 복용합니다. 이러한 영향은 다른 진정제와 마찬가지로 복용량이 증가함에 따라 중추신경계(CNS)의 억제와 관련된 전형적인 징후를 나타내며, 호흡 억제, 저혈압 및 서맥으로 인한 깊은 혼수상태를 유발할 수도 있습니다.
진단은 임상 문진 및 신체검사를 통해 이루어집니다. 추가 검사로 혈액 및 소변 검사, 심전도 및 흉부 X선이 필요할 수도 있습니다.
각 사례에 따라 개별화하여 증상 조절 및 지원하는 것이 목표로 치료가 이뤄지며, 병원 환경 내에서 모니터링이 필요합니다.
