횡단척수염은 척수 전체 두께에 영향을 미치는 척수의 염증입니다.
정확한 원인은 밝혀지지 않았지만 바이러스 감염이나 자가면역반응이 원인일 가능성이 있습니다.
허리 통증과 함께 증상이 빠르게 나타나며 감각과 이동에 있어서 문제가 생깁니다. 장과 방광 기능의 변화를 동반하는 경향이 있습니다.
자세한 병력 확인과 종합적인 신경과 검사와 함께 전체 신체 검진을 통해 진단합니다. 가장 확실한 영상 검사는 MRI입니다.
치료는 항염증제인 코르티코스테로이드와 통증을 완화하기 위한 일반 진통제를 통해 염증을 줄여 증상을 조절하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 재활과 병행하면서 치료해야 합니다.
