它是消化道上部的出血，从食道到小肠的第一部分（十二指肠）。
最常见的原因是胃或十二指肠溃疡。
它表现为呕吐的血液和/或焦油色的粪便和糊状稠度。可伴有皮肤苍白，心动过速，低血压和明显的疲劳感。
它通过完整的临床病史，体格检查，血液分析和消化内镜检查确诊。
医院治疗的主要目的是通过给予血液和/或血清来稳定血压。必须纠正血液凝固成分的任何改变。如果延迟，应进行消化内镜检查以直接治疗出血部位。
