它通常是由咬伤指甲周围的皮肤或切割非常短的指甲造成的伤害引起的。
它表现为炎症，发红，悸动疼痛，有时还会从该区域脓液化脓。
诊断是临床的，治疗基于当地的热敷和局部防腐剂护理。
如果脓液积聚，可能需要在局部麻醉下引流并加入口服抗生素。
